Laurium Manor’s Carriage House Suite
On May 19, 2017 we changed the number of this room from #10 to #101. We also changed its name to the Bisbee Suite. Bisbee is the name of town in southern Arizona that made Thomas Hoatson and many other people very wealthy off the copper mine he and investors started there in 1901. Dividends from this Calumet & Arizona Mining Co. are the reason many of the mansions in Laurium were built.
Room#10 is now a new room on the third floor of Laurium Manor that should be ready some time this summer.
Originally this room was the hayloft and grain storage for the horses that were kept below. Then it was a storage area when the Hoatson’s bought their first automobiles and no longer need the horses.
