New Website

7/19/2013
Laurium Manor Inn's new website www.Laurium.info went live today.  It replaces our old one that we have had since 1988. It was state of the art back than but had become an antique that could not be worked on by anybody. Our other  website , www.LauriumManorInn.com, redirects to Laurium.info.  New features have been added to the new site to make it even more user friendly. If you find that something does not work please contact Dave at info@laurium.info

We have just purchased the original 1908 Hoatson dining room table, chairs, and sideboard from the person that bought it from the Hoatson estate in 1949. This solid quartersawn oak table can extend to 12' long and seats up to 12 people. It is now in the dining room where it is being used for breakfast.

Garage turntable being repaired by MTU students
12-20-2007
Students from MTU's Mechanical Design & Engineering Technology program have taken on the project of repairing the turntable in LMI's Carriage House. This original Canton Automobile Turntable installed around 1915 has not turned since the 1970's. The students have researched the patent numbers molded on the cover and the materials it was made from and are disassembling the parts. They will be producing replacements for the severely corroded components and reassembling it with the goal of making the turntable rotate freely like it did when installed.
When they completed it I drove my Fiero onto the turntable and we we pushed it around to prove that it was working.
